In the June 2023 concert held in the Sir Jack Lyons Concert Hall, The Chimera ensemble performed the premiere of Brinsley’s The Untouched Landscape. Brinsley directed the piece and partook in the ensemble, playing the Violin 1 part.
One of the UK’s largest student-run new music groups, The Chimera Ensemble is renowned for its innovative programming and often gives the first UK performances of works by leading international composers. For their last concert of our 2022/23 season, the Ensemble presents a scintillating programme exploring the theme of music inspired by art and colour, featuring pieces by Thea Musgrave, Anna Thorvaldsdottir and York-based composer James Williamson.1

The concert was split into two parts, with the concert programme having only promoted for the second half.
